Pulsar Helion XQF thermal monocular

Advanced thermal monocular with outstanding image resolution and operational features

Pulsar Helion

The Pulsar Helion XQF is popular in New Zealand for hunting and pest control, security, and search and rescue. The reason for this is simple, it is the best thermal monocular in its class, and is proven to outperform thermals that cost considerably more.

Pulsar thermal imagers have built a Worldwide reputation through the highly popular Pulsar Quantum, which still remains one of the best thermal monoculars ever made. The Pulsar Helion is a total redesign, complete with new housing, electronic components, and features.

The Pulsar Helion XQF thermal monocular incorporates the latest professional grade amorphous silicon 384x288 pixel microbolometer (thermal sensor) with a the optimum 17µ (micron) pixel size. The image refreshes at 50Hz (frames per second) producing a smooth, information rich image, that is ideal for scanning and use from moving vehicles, boats, and helicopters. The 364x288 format is ideal when image magnification and distance performance is more desirable than a large field-of-view.

See the Pulsar Helion video. (Note that the Pulsar Helion XQ has a 384x288 sensor).

The Pulsar Helion XQF is available with a choice of three lenses:

Helion XQ28F. 28mm lens ideal for night hunting, bush stalking, search and rescue, and security/enforcement. It has a large field-of-view, that it ideal for rapidly locating game, pests, and persons, at close quarters, whilst moving on foot, a vehicle, or an aircraft. It is possible to walk in the dark with this thermal, detecting deer sized animals at over 1200 metres in ideal conditions.

Helion XQ38F. 38mm lens is a great general purpose choice when longer distance is required without sacrificing too much field-of-view. Avery versatile choice for most applications.

Helion XQ50F. 50mm lens produces a more magnified image with greater detail. Ideal for sweeping at hillsides, bushline, river flats, and expanses of water to find distant animals and humans.

The Helion's advanced operational features include video recording and WiFi streaming, interactive stadiametric rangefinder, full image control, wireless remote, and multiple colour image options. The colour image options are important when viewing at night in order to reduce eye fatigue, when using for extended periods.
